Who We Are
This is ParentsLists, a site created by me, Helen, with help from a team of writers and editors who are parents themselves. We want to share our knowledge about parenting, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and family life with every parent. To do this, we dig deep into our experiences with our own children and in our own journeys as parents.
We hope that we’ll be able to answer your most common questions about parenting. If we happen not to have that content yet, please do not hesitate to ask us directly and we’ll do our best to give you the answer!
Our Mission
We aim to provide articles on various topics that moms and dads are concerned about. You can count on us to write content that is well-researched and easy to understand and, most importantly, easy to apply to our daily lives.
I, for one, want our readers to find a community here by reading, commenting on, and sharing our articles. And because you are part of a community here, I encourage you to share your thoughts with other readers and offer any words of wisdom that you may have about being a parent to your little one. We are all experts in our own ways.
What You Can Expect From Us
Expect that you will only get the best from us.
Because we want to be your one-stop parenting resource, you can count on us to do our research and provide only reliable and correct information. We don’t believe in doing shoddy work where your family is concerned.
Another thing you won’t find here is parent-shaming. Our aim is simply to inform you of the best practices that experts and other parents share. What you do with this information is completely up to you. People in the ‘real’ world already pass enough judgment on our parenting skills. Here at ParentsLists, we intend to ease that burden with friendly advice and a supportive atmosphere.
You can also expect a lot of things from our articles. You will find us writing about many topics—articles like 77 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy or 21 Benefits of Children Learning a Musical Instrument. We have a sense of what parents of the Information Age want and need to know, and we work day and night to give you just that.
We are still a growing parenting site, but we are rapidly gathering momentum to become the best online resource for all things parenting and pregnancy.
About Helen – Founder, Chief Editor, Writer
Helen is the founder and chief creative officer of ParentsList.
Helen is a mom of three, two boys and a girl, her youngest. She’s a stay-at-home mom who just happens to love writing on the side. She loves spending time with her children, especially on warm, cozy Sunday afternoons when everyone’s just relaxed and enjoying each other’s company.
She decided to start ParentsList when she realized that some websites do not offer enough information in their pieces about parenting. She also felt that, for one article she reads, there are tons of information that are being left out that she still has to find. So she created this place to become a one-stop shop for, hopefully, everything you have to know about parenting, pregnancy, and family life.
She’s not doing this alone, however, as she has a small team of editors and contributing writers who make sure that the website’s content is updated and well-written. So if you’re a mother who keeps doubting if you’re doing it right, this is the site for you. If you’re a dad who thinks that you’re not doing enough for the family, this site is for you.
She wants to help you become more confident leaders and decision-makers not just in your families but in all aspects of your life too.
